BedBike fra Lemco Mobility i Helsing\u00f8r, Danmark, er blevet brugt p\u00e5 intensivafdelingen p\u00e5 Horizon’s Saint John Regional Hospital (SJRH) i New Brunswick, Canada, siden sommeren 2022.<\/p>

Dr. Christopher White var den, der foreslog at bruge BedBike p\u00e5 intensivafdelingen. Forslaget blev fremsat, fordi mange af patienterne p\u00e5 intensivafdelingen er meget svage. <\/p>

BedBike er udviklet, s\u00e5 patienter kan tr\u00e6ne, mens de ligger p\u00e5 et hospital. Brugen af BedBike hj\u00e6lper med at genopbygge patienternes styrke, og patienterne reducerer ogs\u00e5 risikoen for efterf\u00f8lgende problemer som lungebet\u00e6ndelse, hvilket er en almindelig bivirkning ved at v\u00e6re i en hospitalsseng i en l\u00e6ngere periode. <\/p>
