BedBike exercising was the key factor that encouraged him to start again and regain much of the mobility he had lost during his illness."
Already dealing with late-stage brain damage and paralysis on the right side of his body, Lars underwent surgery for intestinal obstruction in November 2022
Lars B. was an well known Specialist in Ophthalmology since 1993
In 2016 he had a stroke resulting in an hemiparese.Â
As a wheelchair user for several years, Lars had an intestinal obstruction in 2022, that was left undiagnosed for too long. It resulted in another visit at the hospital with surgery at the age of 62.Â
Unfortunately, several complications followed, and the prolonged hospitalization led to muscle weakness, extremely reduced mobility, and other challenges.
Since his stroke, Lars has used the Combi Bike Plus at home to supplement the rehabilitation provided by the community. He has become much more independent and could stay in his house with his wife.
Quicker recovery and less muscle loss
Knowing how crucial rehabilitation was for rebuilding strength, coordination, and mobility, we contacted Carsten from Lemco, who suggested starting with the Lemco bed cycle.
The bed cycle allowed Lars to perform gentle exercises while still lying in bed.
BedBike used several times a week
By using the bed cycle with his physiotherapist several times a week, Lars was able to gradually increase the intensity of his exercises.
After about three months, he slowly regained his muscle strength and could train again with his Lemco Combi Bike Plus. Lars is significantly better today and continues his training.
Regain much of his mobility
Lars has been very pleased to use the Lemco bed cycle. It was the key factor that encouraged him to start again and regain much of the mobility he had lost during his illness.”

Lars wife contacted us and he regained much strength compared to the lack of exercise provided by the rehabilitation center.
Spinal Cord Injury – Motor versus Active
Active exercise provides more significant physical and mental advantages, preventing obesity, muscle atrophy, and cardiovascular disease while improving independence, and self-esteem.
